Information regarding Membership
MASCOT membership
Membership will be drawn from a variety of business sectors, including
the retail sector, commercial services and manufacturing industries
within the area.
MASCOT would complement the work of the tourism forum which concentrates
its membership in hospitality – Hotels & B&B’s,
Leisure – amusement arcades, fun fairs, caravan parks, and
food producers – Taste of Lincolnshire etc.
Goals and Vision
Goals are
• to promote local business and to retain good inter-trading
amongst members
• to give the business community a united and powerful voice
in its own affairs
This applies in particular to ELDC, LCC and the Town Council, and
regular ongoing meetings are planned with all three organisations
Our vision is;
• M.A.S.C.O.T. represents Mablethorpe and Sutton’s
business community by being an forward thinking, persuasive and
powerful organisation which works actively to network with local
organisations at local, district and county level
• It exists to expand the successful business activities of
its members in working towards a “year round” economy
which promotes continuity, good cash flow and permanent job opportunities
for well qualified local employees
Funding
• The organisation will be self funding - generated from
membership subscriptions, fundraising events and bids to external
funders where applicable
Membership meetings
• Will be held bi - monthly for all members and as required
for specific project groups.
• These to be programmed for the convenience of it’s
members rather than in specific working hours, and where possible
will be varied over breakfast, lunch and evening events to maximise
individual attendance.
• Regular presentations and advice clinics are planned for
visiting speakers from town, district and county authorities

Will cost £20 per annum – vat not applicable
