Please be aware that we are receiving information that a business fraud is targeting Businesses/Companies within the Lincolnshire region again.

Scam Details

You receive a phone call from a ‘local police officer/PCSO’ stating that they are requesting funding for your company to be shown in an emergency services magazine/booklet.

When you pay your ‘donation’, although your company details are ‘placed’ in the booklet, the publication is not circulated to any other persons/businesses/emergency service etc.

Please do not allow any one to know your bank or credit card details.

If you have given details to any such companies, please place in writing your request to cancel the advertisement within fourteen days. Legally they should not process any payments from you.

You can report any incidents to Tel: 101 - quoting incident 91/12 April 2012.

  • David Loveday, Interim Planning Manager ELDC. General policy and future visions
  • Anne Shoreland, Housing Strategy Manager, ELDC. Town Plan specialist etc.
  • Andy Baxendale, Regional Manager Environment Agency, Flood risk Policy etc
  • Darren Wood, Aviva Assurance Company commercial property specialist in Flood area insurance problems.
