Touring Caravan Consultation underway in East Lindsey
Consultation on a proposed planning policy document written to help those wishing to develop small touring caravan sites within areas of flood risk on the coast is open.  The current Government Policy states that developers must be able to demonstrate that the application submitted has wider community benefit that outweighs the flood risk issue.  The proposed policy states this can be satisfied by a developer making a contribution to the local area and it suggests that the best way to fulfil this is to help fund local services by making a financial contribution through the respective town or parish council, if the application is approved.  The full consultation document is available on the ELDC website at www.e-lindsey.gov.uk   until 2 September 2011.
